Designing Referral Programs That Japanese Users Trust
A leading social media platform sought to understand how Japanese users perceive referral–based programs and what factors encourage or discourage participation. The study explored users’ understanding of referral mechanics, reactions to program conditions, and the role of trust, transparency, and perceived effort in shaping willingness to participate.
