Empowering NPO Organization in Their Lobbying for Change to Support Working Parents
We partnered with a Japanese business chamber to understand the perceptions of working parents towards Parent-Teacher Associations, which often require lengthy volunteer hours and costly donations. The study’s aim was to provide evidence for lobbying government organizations for change.
Our Work
- Developed two online surveys (English language, Japanese language) to gather feedback from past and current PTA members in Japan on their attitudes towards monetary/time commitments, and any recommendations for change
- Managed survey collection across the client’s mailing list and a nationwide survey panel
- Analysis of key points and recommendations with a presentation to stakeholders
The Outcome
- Clear, concise recommendations of how to address current PTA engagement expectations
- Guidance on what solutions are valued by PTA members and how they can be realistically achieved
- Findings were used to produce an official opinion piece by the Chamber
“We are very much satisfied with the study. I am also very much impressed by how the Q&A was handled during the report presentation.”
